About Betty Price

Chattahoochee River CleanupBetty has lived in Roswell for more than 25 years and been an active participant in community affairs. She was appointed to the City of Roswell's Design Review Board two years ago and has also served on the Boards of the Roswell Historical Society, the Chattahoochee Nature Center, Senior Services North Fulton, Friends of the Roswell Library, and ten years on the Fulton County Board of Health. She is a past president of the Lakemont Homeowner's Association.

Betty chaired the Urban Improvement Committee in the Roswell Woman's Club, leading the efforts to obtain new landscaping at the Heart of Roswell and RWC participation in the Chattahoochee River Cleanup. After serving as Conservation Chair and Treasurer of the Roswell Jr. Women's Club, she was awarded Lifetime membership. Betty was an elder in their church and has taught Sunday school for many years.

Betty currently serves on the American Cancer Society North Fulton Leadership Council and as an advisor to the Drake House. She has given classes for Seniors Enriched Living and annually teaches "Citizenship" at the Boy Scouts' Merit Badge University. She and her family maintain a mile of highway in Roswell's "Adopt-A-Road" program.

Betty Price and FamilyBetty, a physician by training, worked for over 20 years in the medical field, and practiced her specialty Anesthesiology in Roswell and Marietta. She is a past president of the Atlanta branch of the American Medical Women's Association and has received the President's Award from the Medical Association of Atlanta.

Betty received her B.A. from Pomona College and earned her M.D. at McGill University. She has been married for 26 wonderful years to Dr. Tom Price, who represents the 6th District of Georgia in the U.S. Congress. Their son is a sophomore at college studying Electrical Engineering.

Roswell's Georgia Ensemble Theatre awarded "Tenure" members Betty and Tom the "Legacy Award" in 2007 for their avid support of the theatre since its inception. The American Business Women's Association honored Betty as a "Phenomenal Woman" in 2006.
